Can non-iPhone receive these cute emoticons from AniEmoticons?

One of our users asked me: My boyfriend is not using iPhone, can he still receive all these cute emoticons I send him using AniEmoticons App?

Yes, he can receive your animated emoticon sent from AniEmoticons App as long as his phone is subscribed to a 3G network that enables Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS).

But the screen shown may not be the same as what you see in iPhone.  If both you and the Recipient have iPhone and AniEmoticons App to send animated emoticons back and forth, you can see the message conversation within the Message App in iPhone.

But if the Recipient phone is not an iPhone, it really depends on how that phone will show multimedia message. For example, we have a Nokia phone connected to 3G network and the animated emoticons is shown differently from how it is shown in iPhone.

For emails, the Recipient should be able see the animated emoticons in the email.

But it depends on the setting of the Recipient’s email application as it can be configured to block graphic content to be shown for security reasons.

By the way, we are planning to launch Android version of AniEmoticons App. So if your friends are receiving these cute emoticons from you, and are using an Android phone, they can send to you too. Isn’t it great?

How to buy AniEmoticons App as a gift for your loved one?

When our users have got AniEmoticons App and send to their friends and loved ones those cute animated emoticons, they are also excited to receive those cute emoticons as well.  Now it comes to the question: How to buy AniEmoticons App as a gift in App Store and send to your loved one?

In Apple App Store, you can send a paid app as a gift using iTunes in your computer or through the App Store App in your iPhone or iPod Touch.  As majority of us will most probably use the mobile device to buy the app, let us show you how here.

It is very simple. Go to App Store app and search for ‘AniEmoticons’. Then you will see the lite and full version apps listed. Take the full version, stroll down and you will see ‘Gift this App’ button.  Press this and you will be prompted to enter your Apple ID and password to purchase the app.

Then you will be directed to the screen to enter ‘Your Name’, ‘Recipient’s Name’,  ‘Recipient’s Email’ and a ‘Personal Message’ of 500 characters max. Press Next to proceed and then Apple will help you send an email to the Recipient on the Gift App.

The email is quite impressive in a green background. Recipient just needs to press the button ‘REDEEM NOW’ to download the gift app.

But one important point to note.  When you buy the app in your local App Store, the recipient has to in the same App Store to redeem the gift app. For example, if your Apple ID is registered under the Hong Kong App Store, you can buy a gift app but the code is only valid for customers of the Hong Kong App Store.

How to feedback to app developer on app improvement?

Sometimes users want to feedback to app developer on their experience on using the app or playing the game. They want to express what made them happy or unhappy to developer. They also want to suggest area of improvements. How to do that?

Usually users express their view on the app by rating it with 1 to 5 stars and by writing a review in the App Store. As a developer, we really love to see feedback from users and take them very seriously. They are very valuable so that we can address to them quickly to ensure my users are happy with our apps.

However it is only a one-way communication. The app developer actually cannot get back to the users on the feedback from the users.

So we have made some ways for users to get back to us.

1/ The easiest way to reach us is to go to our website and press the ‘Contact’ button or just go to

From there just input your name, email address and type us a message on your problem or what improvement areas you want.

2/ In case you do not remember our website, just go to our apps and we always have a button to go to our website. Below is one screenshot of our menu in our AniEmoticons App.

3/ You can contact us at our Facebook fan-page. In all our apps, we have the Facebook button for you to leave a message to us on the Wall. Below is our Facebook fan-page of our AniEmoticons App.

4/ After you have installed the app, and if you go back to App Store and look for the same app, you will see a button ‘App Support’ when stroll down the screen. Press this button and you will be diverted to our website.

Currently we are upgrading our apps too to improve the environment so that it is easier for users to give us valuable feedback. At a certain usage of the app, we prompt our users for their rating and review. Users are given an option to send us an email to give us the feedback.
