There are 28 categories of animated emoticons in the full version of AniEmoticons App. In the lite version, we have 10 out of the 28 categories. They are classified into different types of emoticons, e.g. 3D Smiley, Alphabet, Bear and Panda. All of them are funny and cute. I have highlighted four of the funny categories in another post (I).   Let’s continue with the other four categories.

1/Category: Milky Boy

An app review said Milky Boy looked like an unrolled condom!! LOL…Do you agree? Well well well, Milky Boy is a milk bottle. And mind you, his girlfriend has a bra-like thing as her hat!!  He has got another girl friend and she is angry at him too.

2/Category: Monkey Yoci

Look at these sweet couples Monkey YoYo and CiCi. No words can describe their level of sweetness. Are you having such sweet relationship?

3/Category: Onion Head

What a good stock of emoticons of Onion Head. He has all extreme expressions. Extremely happy, extremely sick, extremely frustrated with blood all over.

4/Category: Soldier PP Bing

Although Soldier PP Bing has a big green hat, we can see lots of funny and cute expressions from him.  He laughs, he dance, he likes to eat and he works hard. If he is angry he will throw you a bomb!!

Hello, there are so many hilarious expressions by the Pandas.  Really like the big kisses. Also look at the angry Panda who turns over the table.

2/ Category: Crab and Fish

When look at this big fish one by one, cannot stop laughing this at this fat fish. Enjoy how fat fish jumps out of water and turns to a heart.

3/Category: Hard Boiled Egg

I am really angry, afraid, frustrated, but when look at these expressions by Hard Boiled Egg, I just forgot all the unhappiness. I really like the one ‘I am watching you’, it is on the last page and last row of ‘Hard Boiled Egg’.

4/Category: Maggieland

Maggieland gives me all the beauty of a lady eating, shopping, dancing, doing facial, blowing the hair, putting on makeup… and going to toilet.

One of our users asked me: My boyfriend is not using iPhone, can he still receive all these cute emoticons I send him using AniEmoticons App?

Yes, he can receive your animated emoticon sent from AniEmoticons App as long as his phone is subscribed to a 3G network that enables Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS).

But the screen shown may not be the same as what you see in iPhone.  If both you and the Recipient have iPhone and AniEmoticons App to send animated emoticons back and forth, you can see the message conversation within the Message App in iPhone.

But if the Recipient phone is not an iPhone, it really depends on how that phone will show multimedia message. For example, we have a Nokia phone connected to 3G network and the animated emoticons is shown differently from how it is shown in iPhone.

For emails, the Recipient should be able see the animated emoticons in the email.

But it depends on the setting of the Recipient’s email application as it can be configured to block graphic content to be shown for security reasons.

By the way, we are planning to launch Android version of AniEmoticons App. So if your friends are receiving these cute emoticons from you, and are using an Android phone, they can send to you too. Isn’t it great?

When our users have got AniEmoticons App and send to their friends and loved ones those cute animated emoticons, they are also excited to receive those cute emoticons as well.  Now it comes to the question: How to buy AniEmoticons App as a gift in App Store and send to your loved one?

In Apple App Store, you can send a paid app as a gift using iTunes in your computer or through the App Store App in your iPhone or iPod Touch.  As majority of us will most probably use the mobile device to buy the app, let us show you how here.

It is very simple. Go to App Store app and search for ‘AniEmoticons’. Then you will see the lite and full version apps listed. Take the full version, stroll down and you will see ‘Gift this App’ button.  Press this and you will be prompted to enter your Apple ID and password to purchase the app.

Then you will be directed to the screen to enter ‘Your Name’, ‘Recipient’s Name’,  ‘Recipient’s Email’ and a ‘Personal Message’ of 500 characters max. Press Next to proceed and then Apple will help you send an email to the Recipient on the Gift App.

The email is quite impressive in a green background. Recipient just needs to press the button ‘REDEEM NOW’ to download the gift app.

But one important point to note.  When you buy the app in your local App Store, the recipient has to in the same App Store to redeem the gift app. For example, if your Apple ID is registered under the Hong Kong App Store, you can buy a gift app but the code is only valid for customers of the Hong Kong App Store.
